For their last auction of the year, the Urban Art department at Art Curial will host an auction including 67 lots representing some of the greatest names in Urban Art from its inception to today. Named "Beyond Urban" the auction will be divided in four chapters. The first one Underground/Above Ground, will highlight American Graffiti artists including Rammellzee, Dondi White, Jonone and Martha Cooper.
It will be followed by Un art de la contestation, devoted to artists such as Shepard Fairey with a monumental, unique canvas titled Duality of humanity 2 mural as well as Banksy and Cléon Peterson. The third chapter, Une Néo Pop Culture, will be dedicated to the celebrated Invader and Kaws and their emblematic mosaics and Companions. In closing, the last chapter titled Surfaces / Supports, will question matter and support, with works by Vhils or Blek Le Rat.
